Since I am going to begin filming soon I decided to watch some behind the scene videos of existing music videos where I am able to see what happens behind the scenes of big and successful productions and I feel that by watching these, I have gained a greater understanding about what goes on behind the camera and everything that goes into making a music video look good and professional. I have watched a range of different behind the scene videos because I often like to watch these videos in relation to the artists I like myself which I think is useful because I am able to learn more about the camera and planning process as well as me being able to enjoy what I am watching. As I have watched so many of these kind of videos, I am not going to show all the videos I have seen because there would be a lot, but I am going to show just a few I have watched.
Here are some of the behind the scene videos I have watched:
Angels and Airwaves - Do It For Me Now
Taylor Swift - Out Of The Woods
New Found Glory - One More Round
I found that watching these type of videos were extremely useful because they allowed me to understand what goes on behind the camera in music videos. In addition, in one of these music videos I have shown the 'making of'' video for, I was uncertain on how some of the things were created because I knew that some of the features were not possible and were unrealistic, but after watching these 'making of ' videos they have explained and shown how they have done certain things and I think this will be helpful for me in the editing stage because I will be able to add effects or do certain things during the filming stage to ensure that I get the outcome I want and it will look good and also will be entertaining to watch because people will think about how certain things have been generated just like I used to think until I watched these videos.
